An astonishing one that I was asked (in a church nursery no less) was, “Did you wish that one was a boy?”– pointing to my little girl. As noted, there are many motivations why such seemingly intrusive questions are asked, but thankfully, God is the One who is in the very personal answers and assigns inestimable value to each precious child — whenever they come along. :)
